October 2019 Newsletter

Photos have been removed from this issue because of a law in Kenya requiring strict documentation for photos and videos featuring school children.

October, 2019, Vol 2

Hi, Imagine your life with no internet access and no books. If you want a school you build it yourself. The government supplies a teacher and some textbooks but little else. But your children are eager to learn.

We take libraries for granted. For many, internet searches make libraries obsolete. What if you couldn’t search the internet? Where would you go to do research, learn more about a topic, or find recreational reading material? This is the situation in many parts of rural Kenya and East Africa. Click HERE for a link to a story on WSAV-TV in Savannah, GA We have successfully shipped books to The Amboseli Primary & Secondary School in Kenya. Now we are working with another school, Kyalilini, in Kitui, Kenya and we will be shipping them books. We have also sent $500 to The Amboseli school so they can buy textbooks that fit their curricula. The government replaces books about every 10 years.

We have list of 10 other schools to help and we are talking with people in Tanzania about helping schools there. We have set up a GoFundMe page to raise money. No donation is too small and helps in two ways. The more activity on the GoFundMe page the higher it's visibility, and every little bit helps. Please click here to donate.
