Our Commitment
Libraries For Kids International is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we continue to review and improve the site over time.
Our Efforts
Our efforts include:
- Using semantic HTML with landmarks and a logical heading structure.
- Providing descriptive link text and meaningful alternative text on images that convey content.
- Supporting keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators.
- Designing text and interactive elements to meet WCAG AA color-contrast thresholds.
- Pairing information conveyed by color with a second visual cue (text, icon, or pattern).
- Respecting your device's reduced-motion setting.
- Listing the countries shown on our maps in text as well.
